Professional Learning

Pathway to Transformational Leadership

The Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) partners with N2 Learning on several professional development offerings that further the association’s mission of developing school leaders who create and sustain student-centered schools and develop future-ready students.

Assistant Principal Leadership Academy

TASA partners with N2 Learning to offer the Assistant Principal Leadership Academy. The year-long, six-part academy held regionally not only prepares participants for the principal role, but helps them to grow as transformational leaders.

The Principals’ Institute and PI 2.0

Starting in 2020-21, TASA is partnering with N2 Learning on the Principals’ Institute (PI), which allows principals to understand why transformation of public education is necessary, and develop the knowledge and skills required to lead and build the capacity to sustain transformation over time. PI 2.0 allows principals to extend the work initiated in the Principals’ Institute.

Executive Leadership Institute

Starting in 2020-21, TASA is partnering with N2 Learning to offer the Executive Leadership Institute, which is designed to build the capacity of district executive leaders for system-wide improvements in teaching and learning.

TASA Future-Ready Superintendents Leadership Network (FRSLN)

FRSLN is a superintendent-designed and superintendent-led group of future-focused school leaders who, with TASA support, gather for events that provide authentic learning experiences that help them expand their leadership beyond the local level and advance the principles of the school transformation.

TASA Academy for Transformational Leadership

TASA partners with the Schlechty Center to offer the Academy for Transformational Leadership. The year-long, four-part ATL is designed for school leaders who are passionate about the transformation of public education in Texas.

Texas Public Accountability Consortium (TPAC)

TPAC is a district-led network of school leaders working to build on the success of community-based accountability systems already in use in districts across the state by developing next-generation measures and assessments that would enable wider use of such systems.

School Transformation Network (STN)

For 2023-24, TASA is redesigning our School Transformation Network (STN) to better complement FRSLN and TPAC, which focus on accountability and instructional practices. The new STN will focus on “transforming the basics” — finance, staffing, board relations, and more — the systems that support instruction.
