TASA, in cooperation with the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA), hosted a special summit for members of the TASA School Transformation Network (STN) and other district leaders interested in next-generation assessment and accountability on November 30, 2016, in Georgetown.
At the Summit, superintendents and other school leaders heard from a panel of experts on effective practices in student assessment and accountability. They examined the changing role of assessment in our schools, what research tells us about community-based accountability, and what district leaders need to be ready to talk about concerning state and local accountability as it relates to student assessment (including the pitfalls of A-F rating systems).
